Where we come on the South Shore
Brossard, Longueuil — including Vieux-Longueuil, Saint-Hubert and Greenfield Park — Saint-Lambert and Boucherville, and farther along the shore for bigger projects. The visit is free, and so is installation.
New condos near the REM
Brossard's Solar Uniquartier, beside Quartier DIX30, is planned for about 2,600 homes in buildings from 2 to 30 storeys, with the Du Quartier REM station on site. Towers like these tend to share a few traits:
- Large, tall glass — heavy to raise by hand every day, which is where motorization earns its keep.
- Heat and glare high up — nothing shades an upper floor. A solar screen keeps the view and cuts both.

Established homes in Vieux-Longueuil and Saint-Lambert
Away from the new towers, the South Shore has long-established streets — Vieux-Longueuil's historic core and Saint-Lambert's mature neighbourhoods among them — where the windows are older and the priorities change.

Rebates on this side of the river
The South Shore is in Québec, so the Québec programs apply — and none of them covers blinds. Rénoclimat pays $150 per rough opening for ENERGY STAR replacement windows; Hydro-Québec's LogisVert covers heat pumps, roof insulation with caulking, and solar.
