Ottawa & Eastern Ontario

Custom blinds in Ottawa — we come to you.

Same mobile service we've run across Montreal for years, now in the Ottawa region: samples at your kitchen table, precise measurements, a written quote before we leave, and free installation.

Where we install in Ontario

We're a mobile company — there's no showroom to drive to, in Ottawa or anywhere else. We bring the fabrics to your home, measure every window on site and quote you on the spot.

  • Ottawa — including Kanata, Orléans, Barrhaven, Nepean, Stittsville and the central neighbourhoods (the Glebe, Westboro, Hintonburg, Sandy Hill).
  • Gatineau and the Québec side of the river.
  • Eastern Ontario — Cornwall, Brockville, Kingston and the towns between.

If you're just outside that list, ask anyway. We travel further for larger projects, and a whole-home order is usually worth the drive for both of us.

What's different about Ottawa windows

We've been fitting windows in Montreal for years, and the Ottawa region is not simply more of the same. Three things genuinely change the recommendation:

It's colder, and that shifts the answer on insulation

Ottawa runs colder than Montreal through the depth of winter, with more nights well below −20 °C. That widens the gap between an ordinary blind and an insulating one. Where we might call a single-cell honeycomb sufficient on a Montreal window, the same window in Barrhaven often justifies double cell — and side channels stop being a luxury on bedroom windows. The reasoning is in our guide to blinds for cold-climate winters.

The rebate landscape is completely different

Québec and Ontario share almost nothing here. Ontario's live program is the Home Renovation Savings Program, which pays per rough opening on ENERGY STAR windows and doors and requires a pre-retrofit energy assessment — but, like Québec's, it pays for the window and not for what you hang in front of it. We've written the honest version for both provinces: rebates in Ontario and rebates in Québec — and a window replacement cost calculator that applies both.

More detached homes, fewer towers

Montreal work skews to condos with strict facade rules and very tall glass. Ottawa skews suburban and detached — which means more standard-sized windows, more basement and bathroom windows, more patio doors, and far fewer syndicate approvals to negotiate. In practice, Ottawa jobs are often simpler and quicker to fit.

What we make

The full range, all custom-made: roller blinds, curtains and drapes, Roman shades, day & night (zebra) blinds, honeycomb shades, our edge-sealed Blockout Blind for total darkness, heavy-duty outdoor blinds, skylight shades and switchable smart film.

Every one of them can be motorized, and every one can be supplied cordless.

Installation is free — including in Ontario

It's included with every order, not a line item that appears at the end. That doesn't change because you're on the other side of the provincial border.

How a visit works

You pick a time on our calendar. We arrive with samples, look at each window in your light, measure precisely and leave you with a written quote. Everything is then made to measure and installed by our own installer, who takes the packaging away — and while yours are being made, we put up free temporary blinds so you're never left with bare windows.

We work in English and French, which matters more in the Ottawa–Gatineau region than almost anywhere else we operate.
